ars poetica 1
2026-05-29
is it the purpose of the writing or the purpose of the reading
why do i have to stick to my opening statement for it to be coherent
fundamental questions of ars poetica but nonetheless stupid
why do i feel different when the sun disappears
i don't like the writer that i am
pretty sentences are not enough
core material needs to be tough
not me i soften up as i breathe,
an area of heath beneath my teeth
i'm not accustomed to these lands
i'm a stranger to myself
i enjoy writing more than reading,
i refuse the rhymes of reading.
how do you want to read?
poems can unravel themselves as you read, line by line, at a considered pace — or just sit there, fully visible, like normal.
change this anytime — look for “reading: …” near the top of any poem.
