last rain before bloom

last rain before bloom

last train before doom

the sky whispers of what’s coming,

purification of what’s been brewing

beneath the soil, everything is ready

this last rain before bloom

my heart is not steady

tis the last rain before bloom

the petals wait in soaked silence

i sigh through soaring lens

roots rehearse their resurrection my chest heaves with unborn breath

untamed name my chest carved along the lines i couldn’t see how this the last rain before
bloom

this the last rain before doom

how do you want to read?

poems can unravel themselves as you read, line by line, at a considered pace — or just sit there, fully visible, like normal.

change this anytime — look for “reading: …” near the top of any poem.
