candle lit, rid me of it.

everything's painted over. wall, mirror, closet, canvas, garment, paper,
none of it is blank.
i purged,
and now i'm surrounded by all that came out of me.
time was spent, now it's not so pretty,
all that i let out,
wind do you blow them afar?
i'm a treader of an untrodden path, our paths crossed?
simple answer is wall needs repainting,
mirror needs to go,
closet, it serves some purpose but i don't really,,,
canvas, garment, paper,,
there is this urge,
that screams burn,
there is this urge,
there is this urge,
there is this urge.
however there isn't a response to therapist's questions.
the urge is all there is.
and wants and needs,
wants are needs.
this system, defect picks up predators,
lamb it's hard to see.
not that system is unwired to pick up on it,
there isn't many.
i can become anything,
myself, it's hard to see, let alone become.
so i pick a feature from the faces on the rack,
those that walked in the inn forgot to take it on their way out.
so i pick a feature from the faces i wear,
hoping i create myself along the way.

how do you want to read?

poems can unravel themselves as you read, line by line, at a considered pace — or just sit there, fully visible, like normal.

change this anytime — look for “reading: …” near the top of any poem.
